Are you in a crunch for time? Seems like we all are, these days. It’s a hustle bustle world and we are going nonstop. Trying to find any time at all, seems like an impossible task. How are we supposed to build a business, when there is so little time?

 

We have full time jobs. Most of us are married with children to take care of. We have our “Me” time. Maybe it’s going to the gym or hanging out with friends, but it’s time that we need to ourselves. We might have a hobby or an interest that takes up a fair amount of time. Whatever it is, we find that time is in short supply.

 

Until I figure out how to get more than 24 hours in each day, we’ll have to settle for increasing our productivity.

 

There are 2 reasons why a network marketer needs to be able to increase their productivity. The first is so they can get more done in the little time that they have. The second reason is so they can teach others how to get more done, in less time.

 

One of the top 2 objections that we get to joining our business is, “I don’t have time.” Imagine, if you will, a time when you get your next “I don’t have time” objection and you can say, “I used to have that same problem. Then I learned how to get more done in the little bit of time that I had. I can teach you.”

Some of these productivity tips might sound a bit weird, but I hope my explanations will clear it up for you.

 

Here are my 4 favorite productivity tips

 

Diet and exercise

 

What’s this got to do with being more productive? If you are healthy and in good shape, you will have more energy to work with. I’ll pick on myself here. There have been times in my life when walking up 2 flights of stairs would have nearly put me in a coma. Yeah, I was in bad shape. It’s tough to get a lot done, when you are in such bad shape.

 

My solution

 

My suggestions would be to limit your caffeine and processed sugar intake. If you eat or drink these two things you will inevitably get the crash, that you deserve. I also suggest exercising more. A 30 minute walk every day will work wonders. You should walk as far as you can, as fast as you can! Work your way up to 30 minutes.

 

Stay organized

 

Make a journal for yourself. Write down everything that you do for your business and the outcomes of all of those activities. If you keep track of everything, it will save you a lot of time trying to remember things. If you can’t recall it, look it up!

Have a written “to do” list. I use index cards for my to do list. I write down, on a piece of paper, everything that I know needs to be done. I then prioritize the things on my list. I write the top 15 things onto 5 different index cards, one for each day of the week, 3 things on each day. Then I divide the rest of things that need to get done, evenly amongst the 5 cards. The top 3 things are the ones that I know I must get done today on that day. If there is time left over, I do as many of the remaining item for that day. If I can’t get to any of them, I move them onto the next day’s card. You can cross items off of your list, as you get them done.

 

If there are any items that are things that you are dreading, then do those first. You won’t have them hanging over your head!

 

Having a to do list will keep you on task and you will waste less time.

 

Do one thing then move on

 

Once you start to do things on your to do list, do one thing until it is completed and then move onto the next task. There is no such thing as multitasking! There is only getting multiple things, half way done.

Turn off your television, your mobile phone and unless you are working on your computer, turn that off as well. These are 3 of the biggest time wasters, out there. You can get updated on what happened on Twitter, Facebook and the rerun of Columbo, after you are done working.

 

Making more time

 

This is kind of an anti-productivity suggest, but having more time to work with is just as good as increasing your productivity! My top suggestion is to wake up 30 minutes earlier than you do now. I believe that most people could get 30 minutes less sleep and still be fine. This gives you up to 3 ½ hours of time to work with, each week. It may not seem like a lot, but you’ll have fewer distractions and more energy than you will later in the day.
