Master Key Experience – Week 2 – I’m so confused

Back to school with the Master Key Experience

I have to say that the MKE is extremely interesting. Mark J has said that there is a lot of scientific evidence that supports everything that they are teaching. That would cover all of the information in The Master Key System, a book that was written over 100 years ago. That’s interesting in itself. A guy from 100 years ago knew how the human mind worked well before any scientist did.

To the class, now.

There is so much information coming during the class, it’s hard to take a breath. If you blink, you might miss something. The good news is that there is a replay of all of the webinars. I’ll think I’ll take advantage of that, this week!

I had done my DMP, Definite Major Purpose. That was tough enough. I got it back from my Guide. She had it marked up with a sea of blue. There were so many corrections/suggestions. I tried not to take it personally, but that didn’t work. I have to admit that I thought about quitting. I thought to myself, “Maybe I’m not cut out for this.” I decided to wait for the second class and see how that went. Like I said before, the second class was such a flood of information that it did nothing to make me change my mind. It was like trying to take a drink from a fire hydrant!

Mark J must’ve had a bunch of people tell him what I was thinking because he made a point to say that the participants from last year’s class said that the overwhelm subsides, over time. They just didn’t say how much time. I think I need to get a little more organized. I think that would help me. I think I also need to set up particular times of the day to devote to the work that needs to be done for this class.

As for the workload, it’s a lot or at least it seems like a lot. They have us reading a passage from The Greatest Salesman in the World, three times per day. Then we have to read a passage from The Master Key System 2 times per day. After today, we’re going to have to read 2 note cards 2 times per day. Then there is the Blueprint Builder. I’m not even sure how many times per day that we are supposed to be reading that.

If one were to add up all the time that is required to do all of the reading, it’s probably an hour or maybe a bit more. Which is what they said it would be. I’m not really used to this, yet. It’s a lot like a college level course for someone who is many years out of college. It’s probably me and a few hundred others who aren’t used to being in school. I’ve kind of forgotten what it’s like to be a student.

Back to my DMP.

I’ll probably spend an hour or so on rewriting my DMP. I need to try to get it closer to what is expected. The funny thing is that they never told us what it was supposed to be like. Well, they gave us a vague picture of it. Then we were to write it and submit it for a hatchet job. I mean that in the nicest possible way! Yeah, I think I took it a little personally.

After I rewrite the DMP I’ll try to get organized. I need to figure out how to get all of this stuff done, every day. It’s not that much, but it needs to fit into what I already have to do every day. I need to come up with a schedule that will work for me and stick to it. Hopefully, I’ll get used to everything and be able to at least keep up with what’s going on in the class.

It’s been 8 days and I’ve already thought about quitting. I hope that doesn’t mean that I’ll quit. The class does seem to be changing me a bit. I feel like this will work for me and anyone else who is willing to trust the system and do the work.

If you are thinking about taking the class next year, check back often to find out if it really does get easier or whether I had enough and dropped out. I’m interested to see what happens to me too!
