There are certain things that you need to be doing, in network marketing, if you want to be a success. It really boils down to selling products and recruiting people into your opportunity. That’s about it. Sounds pretty easy, doesn’t it? Well, it’s simple, but it’s not really that easy.

What you have to do is fairly simple to spell out. The exact methods that you use may not be so clear. You may have to use trial and error to determine the method or methods that you will end up using. That is where the 3 step action feedback loop comes into play.

What is a feedback loop, anyway?

The Free Dictionary defines a feedback loop as:

The section of a control system that allows for feedback and self-correction and that adjusts its operation according to differences between the actual and the desired or optimal output.”

That’s nearly a perfect definition.

Network marketing, at its core, is an action based business. If you aren’t taking action then you probably are about to go broke and quit. The action feedback loop is designed to help you to become successful after you start to take action. The best part is that your actions don’t have to work or even be good actions. You just have to start to move forward!

The 3 steps of the action feedback loop are:

1. Take action toward some goal

2. See what kind of results you get

3. Learn from the results from step 2 and adjust for your next action

Then the loop keeps running until you achieve your desired goals. It sounds kind of simple, doesn’t it?

Let’s say that your goal is to generate customers for your company’s products. You decide to try your luck on Facebook. The first action that you take it to post pictures of yourself with your products and put a link to your company’s replicated site. You repeat this action day after day. For some reason, no one is buying your products.

get customers by taking action

Step 1 for you was to put links, on Facebook, to your replicate site. The results were that you didn’t sell any products. What should you learn from this action? You should learn that placing, what amounts to, spammy ads on your Facebook page isn’t going to sell your products. Step 3 is to adjust your actions and repeat from Step 1. Your second attempt might be to write an ebook about the benefits of using your company’s products and setting up a landing page to give that ebook away in exchange for your prospect’s email address.

You put an announcement on your Facebook page that you are giving away the ebook and you provide a link to that page. This gives the results that you were looking for. You are generating leads who can be converted into paying customers. Then, you can move onto the next goal.

The process was shortened and simplified for the sake of brevity. You may have to try and try again to get something that will allow you to attain your goal. The process remains the same no matter what your goal happens to be or how many adjustments and tweaks you have to make. Eventually, you should be able to reach all of your goals this way.

This is all contingent on you taking some action toward a specific goal.
