Here’s your unfair advantage that you’ve been looking for!
If you had to play a 1 on 1 basketball game against Lebron James, could you win? Probably not. Not to worry. I couldn’t beat him either.
Suppose that you could pick another NBA player to be on your team. Maybe you can talk Kevin Durant into playing. Now it’s a 2 on 1 game. Can you win now? Even with me weighing down the team, I think KD and I could take Lebron!
A game of 2 on 1 is a little unfair, don’t you think? It gives you a decided advantage. Most people could win, if they had a 2 on 1 advantage!
Why not take this same concept and use it to your advantage in your network marketing business?
You can use this strategy in any circumstance but, it works very well for your warm market. I usually don’t teach recruiting in your warm market. I call the warm market “the abyss” or “the place that new distributors go to die.”
The best thing about your warm market is that they know you. The worst thing about your warm market is that know you.
Your warm market knows you, likes you and trusts you but, odds are that you’ve never been successful in business before. Trying to convince them, that not only are you going to be successful, but, they are too is not an easy task. Not impossible, it’s just not easy.
Now, let’s take that 2 on 1 advantage that we talked about earlier and go into your warm market. You’ll need to find an upline, a down line or sideline who can give a decent presentation, answer objections and close a sale. What do they have that you don’t? Maybe nothing. They will be someone who is not familiar to your warm market. This makes them “the expert.” They are the authority on all things that relate to your business.
Once you introduce them to the people in your warm market, they will get their undivided attention. They will get the respect of your prospects. They will be taken seriously!
Best of all is that you’ll enjoy the 2 against 1 advantage.
To get started, you just need to begin to set up appointments. Your “expert” will do all the work.
This is where you will be calling through your list of friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers. You should be able to find many people, in your warm market, who feel the same way you do about making some extra money.
Just ask them this, “Would you be interested in earning some extra money?”
Most people will say yes to that question. You may get a “maybe” out of some. Those people will want to know what it’s about.
“It’s all about you making extra money! I want you to meet [this person] (insert name of person here), they have a lot of great ideas on how to make money. You’ll really enjoy meeting them. We’ll be over tomorrow night at 7PM.”
They may say that tomorrow night isn’t good for them. Offer them one other day and time. If they aren’t jumping on that date, just tell them that you’re really busy and will have to get back to them about another day that would work for everyone. Wait a week and call them to set another appointment.
When you have a 2 on 1 situation, it’s easier for the one person to come around to the thinking of the other two, who are working together. It’s easier for them to accept that making money is something they can do, when you have 2 people there who are making money already. It would be difficult for them to convince both of you that you both have it all wrong. They want to make extra money too, right?
Once the presentation is over, their thoughts will turn to whether they think they can do the business or not. Telling them that they will be following this same strategy to grow their business will go a long way toward convincing them that they absolutely can do this business.
Of course that means that you’ll need to be “the expert” for them! Get practicing!
I think you will be impressed by how effective this method can be. You just need to find the right person to work with.
A growing business will keep more of your distributors involved, excited and in business.
