I wish that there was just one missing link, that if you knew what it was it would help you to build that huge network marketing business that you’ve always dreamed about.


I wish that there was a little known advertising technique that would send a flood of new prospects your way.


I wish that there was one particular script that would have most of your prospects whipping out their credit cards wanting to join your business.


I wish that there was one training course, out there, that would have all those who join your business, recruiting like seasoned professionals, right out of the gate.


I wish, I wish, I wish …

While there is no secret to building a huge network marketing business, there are things that most distributors don’t do. Most network marketers don’t take much action, at all. Why is this?


It might be fear. It could be a lack of knowledge. Most people have never owned their own business before. Unfortunately, that goes for your sponsor as well. Most distributors have no idea what to do. Even if they knew what to do, they probably wouldn’t have any idea of how to do it.


Like generating new leads. Distributors know they need to generate leads, but they don’t know how to do it.


Most network marketers want to build their businesses, they just don’t know how. This is very frustrating for distributors and sponsors alike. I have often referred to this as the blind leading the blind.


A network marketer in this situation probably just sits around and waits for someone to help them or show them what needs to be done and how to accomplish them. Emphasis is on “sits around.”



MLM training ... don't just sit there, do something



Then there are the distributors who “know exactly what to do.” They just need to come up with that perfect ad to bring in prospects. They write and rewrite their ads dozens of times. It has to be perfect! They write and write and write, but they never actually run the ad anywhere.


Then there are those who “buy into” network marketing and they buy the books and tapes. They fly to the national convention. They go to the hotel meetings. They are doing everything that they are supposed to do. Why aren’t they making money. Strange they have never sponsored anyone. Actually, they’ve probably never talked to anyone about their business.


I would guess that most of you reading this article can see yourself in one of those descriptions.

It doesn’t matter where you’ve been or how much action you have taken or not taken up to this point. Today is a new day. You have to accept the fact that you can make it in this business. You can grow a huge network of people below you. You can make this happen!


You just have to take proper and productive action everyday! The emphasis is on EVERYDAY!


Over the next several days, I am going to teach you just like you were one of my recruits. I’m going to lead you, step by step. I am going to tell you exactly what to do and how to do it. Ready?

The first thing that all distributors should do is to familiarize themselves with the distributor kit. Learn as much as you can about your company’s products. Find out where they hold business presentation meetings. It may be online or it could be at a hotel. Find out who in your upline will be able to help you by giving the business presentation for you. Gather up all the phone numbers and addresses and keep them in a safe place.


Next, I want you to pick out a product that you think would be the easiest for you to sell. I did say sell. You won’t have to be a pushy salesperson, but you might have to give product information and a personal testimonial to anyone that you’ll talk to about the product. If your company only has one product, then learn all you can about it. The most important thing you can know about any product is “why did you buy it?”


Then, I want you to fill out the dreaded memory jogger. I want to you to go through the list and put stars next to all of those that are your closest relatives and friends. Those that love you the most or owe you the most. Those are going to be the people that you approach to buy your products.

That’s actually quite a bit of work that you’ll need to do to get to this point.


Is there a a missing link in network marketing? If there is, it is, productive and directed action. Emphasis on action!
