How to force your prospects to see your business presentation

is your network marketing prospect open minded

I want to discuss open mindedness and closed mindedness.

According to yourdictionary.com: The definition of open minded is a willingness to try new things or to hear and consider new ideas.

Conversely, dictionary.com defines closed minded like this: having a mind firmly unreceptive to new ideas or arguments.

As a network marketer, we are asked to eliminate people from being our prospects. One of the best ways to do this is to find out who has an open mind and who has a closed mind.

There are two types of people in this world. Those that are open minded and those that are closed minded. What type of person do you want to talk to about your business or your products? That answer should be pretty easy.

You will want to talk to the people with the open minds. They are open to new idea and new things. They are the people who are most likely to be interested in what you have to offer.

On the other hand, you have to people who are closed minded. They are either afraid of new things or they lack the confidence to use new ideas successfully. They are convinced that they are where they are supposed to be and they probably think that you should be right there next to them.

In network marketing, we are always looking for ways to “close the sale.” How do you close someone with a closed mind?

All I can tell you is that you can’t close something that’s already closed. If you have a prospect who is arguing with you about whether your business is something that they would be interested in you’ll be wasting your time trying to find a fancy way to close them.

With someone who has an open mind, you stand a chance of closing them.

How do you tell who has an open mind?

The only way to know if they have an open mind is to ask them. You can ask, “Are you open minded when it comes to making money?” Or you might ask, “Would you be open to a side project if it didn’t interfere with what you are doing now?”

The main word to focus on is “open.” When someone hears the word “open” or “open minded” in a question they have to think that if they aren’t “open” then they are closed or closed minded. There aren’t very many people who are willing to say that they are “closed minded.”

You can combine this with this question, “There are two types of people in this world, open minded people and closed minded people. Which are you?” Then ask them, “Would you be open to a side project if it didn’t interfere with what you are doing now?”

More than likely they have just told you that they are an open minded person. You’re just putting that to the test.

That choice of words almost forces your prospect to agree to see your business presentation or product demonstration!

After all, that is your goal in network marketing. If you can show enough business presentations, eventually you will reach your goals!

Even if you ask those questions of a closed minded person, they aren’t likely to tell you that they are closed minded. They’ll agree to see your business plan too.
