Instant gratification?

Long time comin’ or instant gratification?

do you need instant gratification

Everyone wants what they want and they usually want it NOW! We’re all looking for that elusive instant gratification.

Back in the old days, people used to work and save up for what they wanted. Then and only then would they buy want they wanted.

When you have a job, you just need to wait a week or two until your next paycheck. Well, the bad news is that when you own a business it doesn’t always work like that. You might get paid today, but you might not get paid for another 6 weeks. Who knows, right?

If this bothers you, then owning a business might not be for you.

Network marketing isn’t any better than any other business, in fact it might be a bit worse.

We’ve all heard the success stories where people start a network marketing business and in year or a year and a half they are making tons of money. They’ve reached the top level of the company’s pay plan. We scratch our heads and wonder how the heck they did that.

Did they know something or do something that we didn’t know or do? Or did they just get lucky?

If being a success in business was easy, then everyone would be doing it!

If you do decide to own your own business, whether it’s a network marketing or some other kind of business, I would suggest that you take a more long term view of it. Success rarely happens overnight. I should say, success rarely happens.

What is a long term view?

That depends on you.

Are you committed to your own success? How much work are you willing to do? Are you willing to give it as much time as it takes?

Did you know that they average network market recruits 3 people … in their entire career? That kind of explains why so many people fail or quit.

recruit enough people

Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that you really are going to be a success, in your business. That you are willing to give it as much time as it will take. Now let’s see how long it might take you to get to the top level of your company’s pay plan.

If you are able to recruit 1 person per month and we’ll say that you need to recruit 50 people to reach the top levels of your pay plan. Obviously, that number will vary for everyone. You may be able to get to the top level with 20 or 25 people or you may need to recruit 200.

In our example, it will take you 50 months to recruit 50 people. That’s a bit more than 4 years.

Now you have to ask yourself one question, are you willing to give yourself 4 years to reach the top level?

Did you answer that question? Are you willing to work at it for 4 years?

I’m sure your knee jerk reaction is to say, “Yes, of course I am!”

I want you to really think about it. Take your time. Think about it over the next few days and really decide if you are really willing to do this. Four years is a long time to invest into a business. It won’t be easy.

If you do decide to go for it, then the next step you need to take is to devise a plan to recruit 1 person per month. Then take action!
