Will you be a successful network marketer?
I would think that most if not the vast majority of network marketers would like to find success within the industry. I’m sure that there are plenty of people who joined just to get the discount on the products they love and there are people who just want to make a little extra spending money, but the people that I’ve talked to want big money.
They see the possibility of residual income and enough of it to quit their jobs! Hallelujah, free at last!
What is it that top earners have that the rank and file distributors don’t have? A lot of money, for one thing. All joking aside, what are the qualities and attributes that they have that we might not?
I think the most important quality that a successful network marketer can have is self confidence. An unshakable belief in yourself and in your abilities. It’s a feeling that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to. Remember when your mom used to say that to you? It’s unfortunate that somewhere along the line we forget what she said to us!
There are somewhere between 85% and 97% of all people who are lacking in self esteem and self confidence. I would say that this is one of the main reasons why the success rate in network marketing is so low. If you are a network marketer with low self confidence, then you will probably fall prey to a naysayer or a critic. The first time you hear the word “No,” you’ll tuck tail and run.
The second attribute that a successful network marketer has is a positive attitude. They are grateful for everything that they have and they will be grateful for everything that is to come. They have a positive outlook on life and they expect good things to happen to them and for them. They are usually happy people and that’s what everyone else wants. They can attract a crowd of people who want to “catch” their happiness.
A successful network marketer has made a commitment to themselves and their business. They know that building anything takes time and they are willing to put in as much time as it takes to become successful. They tend to be very persistent. They’ve made the decision to reach their goals and they will not give up!
They are usually very enthusiastic. They are excited by their business and the opportunity to build it. They are passionate about their products and the business. They look forward to sharing them with everyone they meet. They have a personal passion for life and that quality is almost magnetic and can literally pull people to them.
A successful network marketer genuinely cares for other people. They want to the best for everyone. They like to help people to get the very best and be their very best. They are all too happy to put someone on the right road and they will help keep them there as well.
There are other attributes that a successful network marketer has like they can give a great business presentation. They can overcome most objections that people have to joining their business. They have a vast knowledge of their products and the compensation plan, but these pale in comparison to the other qualities that I listed first.
If you want to be a successful network marketer, start by working on yourself! There’s a really good reason that we are taught to do self improvements and personal development, every day!
