Thoughts on success
There are many things that can be said about success. What you need to do to be successful. How to do those things. Who you should talk to about being a success.
I could give you a lot of quotes on success. Thomas Edison probably had a few good words on success. Mark Twain, as well. The list of famous pundits would go on and on. Maybe their words would help you, may they don’t. I’m thinking that it wouldn’t do much for you. Besides, you’re on my blog. I’m hoping that you want to read what my thoughts on success are. Regardless, here I go!
First and foremost, you must define what, exactly, success is for you! It doesn’t matter how anyone else on the planet defines success for themselves. It only matters what you think being a success is.
Maybe you want to have $1,000,000 in the bank. Or you could want to be in control of your time and your life. Whatever it is to you, be sure to define what success is. This gives you your target or goal.
My thoughts on success
You need to be a self starter. A self starter is someone who no longer needs to be told what to do and when to do it. You will know what needs to be and you will get it done. Period!
Be persistent. This means that you will never give up. No matter what happens along the way, you just keep going toward your goal. As long as you never quit, you will never fail!
Don’t be afraid of making mistakes, along the way. You are going to get things wrong. No one is perfect. You can not expect that you will do everything, just right. Or that you will get everything right on your first attempt.
Trust me, you will learn a lot more about running a business by making mistakes, than you will learn from getting things right. If you get everything right on your first attempt, I would imagine that you’d say, “ I have no idea how I did this.”
Believe in yourself. A healthy self confidence is an essential part of your success.
Practice self improvement. When you start out in your own business, you may not have a healthy self confidence. In fact, you may not have any confidence at all. Reading books and listening to tapes will only go so far in improving your self esteem.
The only way that I know of to really improve your self confidence is to actually take action in your business and have some successes. Maybe you’ll recruit someone or sell some of your products.
Every victory will grow your self esteem.
You must be decisive. You will be faced with many decisions along the way to success. Good decisions will help you. If you are able to make good and quick decisions, that’s a bonus. Many people are not able to make good decisions or make quick decisions. If you fall into that category, please seek the counsel of your upline. They’ve been there and done that and can help you!
Listen to others. Maybe you’ll be a natural at building a business. Who knows? It can happen! Most of us aren’t natural born business owners. We’ve been trained to be employees. You need to be able to listen to others in your life. You also need to be discerning. Not everyone gives good advice. Remember that the most expensive advice is bad advice!!
Final thoughts on success
Have a grateful heart. Every day is a blessing. It may take you longer than you think to become a success in whatever venture you are in. You may take some hard knocks along the way. Try to keep your sense of humor. Hopefully, you will moving toward your goal each day!
“Every day above ground is a good day!”
Those are a few of my thoughts on success. I hope that they help you!
