Relax, take it easy

Time off has helped me!

i needed the time off

It was about a month ago when I let everyone know that I had been experiencing bouts of numbness down the left side of my body. I attributed it to the effects of Bell’s Palsy. It was 10 years ago or so that I first suffered the ravages of Bell’s. The entire right side of my face went completely numb. I had no use of the muscles on that side. I couldn’t smile. I couldn’t whistle. I couldn’t feel anything on that side. Needless to say, it was quite scary.

When it started again, in a different part of my body, it was equally scary. After a few weeks of symptoms, I decided to try to reduce my stress level. I had to reevaluate the things that I was doing and make some changes.

The first thing that I did was to drop out of an online class that I was taking. I really wanted to take it, but having been out of school for quite a while, I found it to be overwhelming. The information was coming a mile a minute and I found it difficult to keep up. The “guide” that I had been assigned said I was doing fine and not to worry about it.

The stress started building and the symptoms got worse. Dropping out of the class was the right decision for me, at the time. Within a few days of leaving the class, the symptoms started to subside.

The next thing I did was to stop blogging. I think this will be my 5th article in the last 30 days. That’s a far cry from my usual 22 to 25 articles per month. Again, this was the right decision.

I’m not quite symptom-free, but I’m almost there. The time off has helped.

I had a few people reach out and ask if I was okay. Thank you very much for your concern.

I’m doing much better and I look forward to writing again. I’ll probably build up to the amount of work I was doing before all of this happened. Hopefully, I can contribute to making your 2018 your best year ever in your business!
