What did they teach you in school?

Do you know what they were really teaching you in school?

Public education in this country is turning out people who are trained to be employees. It’s time to remove those shackles and claim your destiny!

Are you the product of our wonderful public school system? I am. I think most of us are. It seems to me that it really doesn’t matter how well you did in school, because there were underlying themes being taught that you were probably unaware of.

What were these themes, you ask?

I recently had a meeting at my son’s middle school. I had just gone to the school in hopes that one of his teachers was available to speak with me. That probably wasn’t much of a plan. When I got to the school I was told that the teachers had a classes and weren’t able to talk to me at that time. I asked if there was anyone else to talk to. I did get a school counselor. I wasn’t sure that she was the right person to talk to, but I said okay.

My son is having problems in his science class, this year. He tells me that his teacher hates him and he doesn’t like her either. My son has been a straight “A” student who wants to be an archeologist when he grows up. Not the kind of kid who should be having problems in science class. But there I sat.

Waiting … waiting … waiting …

public education sucks

I had a nice talk with the woman.

My son says that his teachers don’t really check his homework. There seem to be other statements that he has made, this year, that lead me to believe that he is not getting a decent education. We live in a county that is among the highest rated school districts in the country.

I’d hate to see the education that children outside this district are getting!

Toward the end of the conversation with the counselor, I spoke the unspeakable.

I say to her that it seems that they are there to teach my son 8 things.

Sit down
Shut up
Pay attention
Follow instructions
Work well with others
Memorize facts
Regurgitate those facts for a test
How to respect authority

Are they teaching him to think for himself? Are they teaching him to be a leader? Are they even teaching him to run his own business? Of course not.

They don’t want business tycoons. They don’t want independent thinkers.

They want employees. They need people who will sit down, shut up pay attention, follow instructions, work well with others …

Well, you get the point.

is public education worth it?

I don’t know about you, but when I said that to the counselor, I shocked myself. Not because I had the guts to say it to her, but because I just realized how true it all was. I have to laugh now. You should’ve seen the look on her face. It was like I let the cat out of the bag. I had pulled back to curtain and I saw the “Wizard” standing there.

I can’t even begin to tell you how angry I am.

They aren’t just doing this to my son, they are doing to everyone. They’ve been doing this for over 100 years.

It used to be that most people owned their own business. A blacksmith or a farmer. Maybe they owned a corner drug store or saloon. Now most people are employees.

Why? Because that’s what they have been trained to be!

It’s no wonder why so many network marketers never make any money in their businesses!

They haven’t learned how to be business owners. They were taught to be someone’s employee.

I’m here to say that it’s time for us all to arise and overcome these limitations that have been forced on us all these years!

It’s time for us to realize the destinies that our Creator has waiting for us!
